Ubuntu Printer Setup

Setup Ubuntu to Print on Windows XP Print Server

1. Go to System -> Administration -> Printing and open the New Printer icon.


2. Select Network Printer and Windows Printer (SMB)

• At Host, enter the computer name or IP-address of the Windows XP machine.
• At Printer, enter the share name of the printer. (192.168.231.252/hp2200)
• At Username, enter guest.
• Verify
